First your transmission fluid level may be too low. These bubbles travel throughout the transmission system and interfere with the effectiveness of the fluid giving the transmission components enough air to cause friction and create damage.
Park on a level surface with the engine warmed and running tranny in p.
Air bubbles in transmission fluid. Thing is about this truck removing the transmission was so incredibly easy and so was installing it. In total removing and putting back in the new one was a breeze took me a day. Took off the pan after still having air bubbles in the fluid and everything was in right checked the filters all installed right.
No response from trans. Air bubbles in transmission fluid there is usually one of two causes for air bubbles in transmission fluid. First your transmission fluid level may be too low.
A low level of transmission fluid. Check you transmission fluid first. This transmission has gears 1 2 auto 3 and od 4.
If you are in 3rd and 4th and it is not recognizing it it may be the linkage or you transmission needs to be serviced. This transmission and transfer case in this year jeep if bullet proof. It is a great setup.
Check the fluid when i get home and there s bubbles in it but they quickly dissipated so i had the idea to rev the engine again and see what happens. This is what happened below. The bubbles at first were a tad worse but i didn t have the time to get my phone out in time.
Aeration is created by air bubbles entering the transmission lines and mixing with the fluid. If there is too much transmission fluid then air can leak into the system when the car runs and develop air bubbles in the solution. These bubbles travel throughout the transmission system and interfere with the effectiveness of the fluid giving the transmission components enough air to cause friction and create damage.
Either the level of fluid is too high gear train is churning fluid. Or you have an internal air leak air is mixing with the fluid. If the fluid is too high you ll need to get some out of the transmission which can be a chore.
Otherwise if the level is good you ll need to have your transmission professionally serviced. Park on a level surface with the engine warmed and running tranny in p. If it s too high you ll have to drain some.
Foaming inside the tranny aids in wear due to air in the fluid. Air doesn t lubricate or cool. If the level is good and the bubbles are few it probably won t cause you any problems.
